Manchester United have reportedly had a £35m bid for Sergio Ramos rejected by Real Madrid. The 29-year-oldrecently emerged as a target for the Red Devils, as a potential makeweight in a deal which will see David de Gea head in the opposite direction. It was suggested earlier this week that United were preparing a big-money move for the centre-back, which the DailyMail claims has now been knocked back by Madrid. Both clubs are said to want a quick resolution to the ongoing saga surrounding the futures of De Gea and Ramos, with both players rumoured to be angling for a move away from their respective clubs. Spanish World Cup winner Ramos is thought to earn around £4m-a-year in wages at the Bernabeu, although if a switch is to go through then the same report claims that the Red Devils will have to offer improved terms of £6.5m. Meanwhile, De Gea intensified speculationthat he could be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer by putting his Altrincham house up for sale.
