Rooney Says He Might Never Retire

England captain Wayne Rooney has suggested that he will never retire from international football. The Manchester United striker could become the first man to net 50 goals for the Three Lions when they face Switzerlandat Wembley in Euro 2016 qualifying this evening, having equalled Sir Bobby Charlton's record of 49 against San Marino on Saturday. Rooney, who made his England debut 11 years ago, has insisted that he is still enthusiastic about representing his country. "I won't be one to say I'm not available for selection," the 29-year-old toldtalkSPORT. "I'm sure it'll probably be the manager's choice more than mine. It's a huge honour to play for England." England have already secured qualification for Euro 2016 with three games left to play.
