Just What Is Wrong With Nigerian Football

Football was once beloved, adored by the fan you barely get a ticket.

The same Nigeria that has top players vying their trade in Europe’s potent leagues. The likes of Jon Mikel-obi, Ukechukwu Uche,  Ahmed Moussa, Ideye,Emenike.
Mindset.

The Nigerian football lacks mind-set and focus, such can be backed up by the fact the current Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi was sacked and replaced by Amodu shaibu only to be later re-appointed 2 weeks later, and nonetheless, failed to make any significant impact to the AFCON2015.
Violence Approaches.
Violence has always disrupted the rhythm of the beautiful game, so its existence in the Nigerian football is of no surprise. The games between The Super Eagles and Sudan is a convenient example, when fans where shouting ‘we don’t want keshi’ which could have triggered an assault to the coach. This prompted the NFF to relieve keshi of his duties ‘’The decision to relieve keshi as head coach was done in the interest to save keshi’s life’’ claimed the NFF chairman Pinnick.

This needs to change if they expect to put up a strong fight for major titles, and more importantly for the fans of the game.
